Description
Ipsilonpi, a self-taught artist from Italy, describes her work as ‘art for travelers’. The development of her artistic research has been between abstraction and textures, always based on a constant and necessary element: traveling.
The aim of her artworks is to take viewers back to their inner landscapes, especially in this era of disconnection from our soul and nature. She has participated in solo and collective exhibitions across Europe.

Description:
The inspiration of ‘Flow_Raw series’ was born in India.
I sketched this pattern in my notebook while traveling around Rajasthan, as an instinctive gesture, later developed on different support, including tufting.
The color combinations emerged from a constant visual study of the surrounding scenery. The use of raw canvases evokes the fabrics hanging all over the city.
The paint drips drawing and the abandonment of materico were a real challenge, through the acceptance of imperfection.
The signature is hand-stitching.
The idea of an installation came after the first 2 pieces creation, as a site-specific for the solo exhibition. It is an invitation to embrace the unknown and dive into the journey, without any expectations, feeling as light as air and mindfulness.
These artworks also respect the ‘art for travelers ‘ main concept, since they are very easy to transport, can be framed later or just hanged on your wall as they are.
